We are excited to announce that this year, as part of the HP Amplify Impact program, Computacenter has achieved an outstanding 5-Star rating in all eight countries where we resell HP products and services. This milestone underscores our commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices while highlighting the strength of our Group Alliance’s partnership with HP, one of our top ten strategic partners.
The HP Amplify Impact program recognises partners for driving positive change in areas such as climate action, human rights, and digital equity. Computacenter’s 5-Star achievement in Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the United States, and Switzerland demonstrates our dedication to driving progress in these key areas of sustainability.
We caught up with Florence Fisher, our Sustainability Sourcing Strategy Manager, to find out what this achievement means for Computacenter and our customers.
For Florence, the HP Amplify Impact program is a powerful tool for creating alignment across the industry and demonstrating our shared sustainability commitment to our customers, too. “The program helps to drive everyone toward a common goal,” she explains, “which is to make a positive, lasting impact on the planet and society. We know this is increasingly important to our customers, so earning 5-star recognition across all of our sales countries reinforces that Computacenter and HP are the right partnership to help them achieve their sustainability goal.
Florence spoke about how the program supports partners at every stage of their sustainability journey. “Whether you’re just starting out or already have an established sustainability strategy like Computacenter, the program offers a valuable assessment framework to ensure we are all driving meaningful progress.”
As a company with a longstanding commitment to sustainability, Florence explained how the HP Amplify Impact program has ensured we remain aligned with HP as a strategic partner. “It reinforces that Computacenter is focusing on the right areas,” she said. “We’ve had an established sustainability strategy for many years, so while the program doesn’t necessarily introduce new initiatives for us, it ensures we’re on the right path and fully aligned with HP to ensure that we can help our customers meet their goals through sustainable solutions”
Florence also highlighted how the program has helped shine a spotlight on the wide range of sustainability efforts across the business. “Computacenter is a large organisation, with many incredible people driving our ESG initiatives—through both global programs and smaller, local projects.” Participating in the program across all eight countries has allowed us to showcase and celebrate the impactful work our people are doing across the business.
This year marked a significant leap forward for Computacenter. Last year, we received recognition in just three countries: 5 Stars in the UK and France and 3 Stars in Switzerland. This year, we expanded to earn 5 Stars in all eight countries—a remarkable accomplishment. “It was a pretty big step up, going from three awarded countries to eight,” Florence admitted. “But it’s a challenge we embraced. In fact, Computacenter now holds the most 5-Star awards among HP’s partners, making us the first partner to hold 5 Stars globally.”
By achieving this level of recognition, we’re not only validating our efforts but also reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing sustainability goals—for ourselves and for our customers. Together, we can drive meaningful, lasting change—and help our customers change the world.
