Section 1: Why does Computacenter process my personal data and what is the legal basis?

Section 5: How long does Computacenter keep my data personal data for?
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to retain your personal data we will either delete or anonymise it. We retain personal data we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so and we have described the Computacenter retention periods below. In certain and rare circumstances, we will need to keep your information for legal reasons after our relationship has ended. For example: we keep your information when we have a legal obligation to do so (for example if a court order requires it, we will retain your data for longer than usual), to ensure you do not receive marketing correspondence where you have opted out of marketing we will retain your details in our marketing suppression list to ensure you do not receive further marketing correspondence from us, to deal with and resolve requests and complaints (for example, if there is an ongoing complaint with respect to the website or services), to protect individuals’ rights (for example, we will retain information about a data subject access request after the request is dealt with in case there is a subsequent complaint and the information is needed to demonstrate how the request was handled and for litigation or regulatory matters (for example we would retain your information if there was an ongoing legal claim and the information was relevant to the claim – this information would be retained until the legal claim has concluded).
